CA LA MARINA

We developed a hose refubrishment on a ground floor in the municipality of Premia de Mar, in Maresme. This house was in precarious conditions of habitability, and this is why the property decides to intervene on it, to give it a second life and to enjoy it during the summer months.

A central space that will work as living room, kitchen and dinning room is projected, and will also be the connecting space between the rooms. This area gets its lighting and ventilation through an interior patio. In the hot months, this patio will be absorbed into the living room, generating a cool and calm area. The main room, located at the opposite end of the house, overlooks the main facade, a pedestrian street that leads directly to the sea.

When the false ceiling was removed, a typical  Maresme town houses slab appears, so we decide to restore the wooden beams and leave them in sight, while their textures will be enhanced by indirect lighting that will iuminate the different spaces.
