Ca l'Alegre

They entrust us with the extension of a house on the side of a mountain. We start with a work done in 1974, in which the owners want to expand the useful surface while updating their image towards a contemporary architecture. A prism is created, where the function rooms of the house are developed, working full and empty to create the gaps that will give light to the interior, resulting in a perforated white box with dark holes. The box rests, apparently floating, on a base that protrudes from the irregular terrain and that is related to it through the finishing materials, as if it were rocks, working as an annex with a gym and a small office. The distribution defines a day area, formed by the living room-kitchen, related to the garden, the pool and the barbecue; and the night area, consisting of a suite room with bathroom and dressing room, two double bedrooms and a study, which all enjoy the views of Montseny.
