CA LA PORTUGUESA – The renovation of this compact home has been designed to meet the needs of a couple. The new layout transforms a previously fragmented space into an open, versatile environment filled with natural light flowing in from the terrace.

The intervention highlights the textures of the original construction elements, which have been restored to preserve their authenticity. The vertical structure has been left exposed by removing the multiple layers of cladding applied over time. As a result, a brick wall is now visible and enhanced by a strip of upper lighting, creating shadow effects that emphasize its aesthetic presence.

The final design prioritizes the communal area, maximizing natural light and adapting the space to a contemporary, functional, and practical architecture.
